We have compiled most of our customers F.A.Q to make it easy for you to find what you need.

What do I need to know about the new EPA Lead Law that effective April 2010?

As the homeowner you are responsible for hiring a certified company to perform any remodeling activity that involves lead based paint products. Homeowners can be fined up to 30,000 dollars for not hiring a RRP (Renovate, Repair, Paint) certified company. Most homes constructed prior to 1978 will most likely have lead based paint.
The Contractor must provide and display on the job for inspection two required certifications:

  1. One for the certified company
  2. One for the certified team member of the company
What about bathrooms?

Yes! Workers will need access to a bathroom while on the job. If you prefer we can make arrangements for a Porta John.

Do you assist with securing Home Owner’s Association approval?

Yes! Most HOA’s will require drawings for any remodeling of exterior features.

When you start a job, do you stay until it’s done?

Yes! We understand that home improvement projects can disrupt a household while in process. We won’t start a project until all the special order material is on hand which ensures timely completion from start to finish.

Does someone need to be home when you are working?

No! Not all the time but we request that someone be available so that status and progress updates can be provided on a daily basis.

Are you insured?

Are you licensed?

Yes! You may confirm our license from the North Carolina Licensing Board of General Contractors by clicking www.nclbgc.org. Enter license number 66984

Do all projects require the creation of dimensional design drawings?

No. Most smaller projects would not require drawings. Small projects might include powder room renovation, replacing doors or windows and most household repairs. A limited number of kitchen and bathroom renovations might not require design drawings if the current floor plan remains the same and only finished materials are replaced.

What is the difference between Renovation and Remodeling?

Renovation is replacing something old with something new. Such as replacing a tile back splash, new counter tops, new flooring or new paint.

Remodeling means to alter the current structure. Such as moving interior or exterior walls, installing new doors or windows or increasing the floor plan by constructing an addition.

How long does it take to remodel a bathroom?

8-12 Weeks! Most bathrooms take 1-2 weeks of design, material selections and construction planning. Then 2 weeks of product ordering and delivery. Finally 4-6 weeks of construction.

How long does it take to remodel a kitchen?

10-14 Weeks! Most kitchen projects take 2-3 weeks of design, material selections and construction planning. Then 2 weeks of product ordering and delivery. Finally 6-8 weeks of construction.

Do you have home plans or a model home?

No! All of our newly constructed homes are unique and designed to accommodate the lifestyle of the homeowner for which it was built.

How long have you been in business?

21 Years! We started building speculative homes in the Charlotte, NC area in 1997. Our speculative home prices ranged between 300,000 to 2 million. In 2008 we updated our corporate directive to include remodeling services in the Charlotte area.
